introduction
welcome on planet earth! this is a screen saver for windows
which darkens the screen, and displays images of the earth
as seen from space together with quotes from shakespeare's
works.
i wrote this for a very good friend of mine. so, wherever
you may be, this is for you.

the images are from nasa, i got most of them from their
web-site at www.nasa.gov
freeware without nag-screens and annoying messages.

the original archive contains the following files:
'planet earth.scr' (3.842.048 bytes)
'readme.txt' (3.066 bytes)
'file_id.diz' (316 bytes)
'desc.sdi' (316 bytes)
hard- and software requirements
'planet earth.scr' and the other files together
need approximately 3.6 mb of hard disk space.
a screen size of 800x600 pixels or better in more than
256 colors, and windows 95/98/me/xp, windows nt 4.0,
windows 2000, or better is required.
installation
1. copy the 'planet earth.scr' file into your 'windows/system' directory.
2. open the 'settings/control panel/display' dialog.
3. choose the 'screen saver' tab.
4. select 'planet earth' from the screen saver list.

the software may be freely distributed provided that it is
